Service Description

Saturdays, June 7-28 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. This class focuses on the ancient firing process of Raku, where we heat up our creations to red hot temperatures and pull them out of the kiln to place them in a can of combustibles. This firing process will happen outdoors on the patio and will extend beyond the class period 2 times during the session as determined by the instructor. We will rotate between hand building in McElroy classroom and wheel throwing in the Adams Ceramic Lab to create our objects. Raku is a blast, come ready to get messy! Prior experience with clay is preferred. Instructor: Amythest Warrington Fee: $130 (Friends Member $117)
