Tuesdays, April 3- May 8

Art Journaling
Ann Renee Lighter will guide you through creating your own hand-made journal; combining words and images to create expressive entries and compositions. All skill levels are welcome. Every class is a new experience! Skills learned in this workshop can be used to make travel journals, guest books, sketch books, and other bodies of work. Have fun making a piece of art that can travel with you!

Floral Oil Painting
Catch the spring spirit by painting flowers! Learn composition, technique, texture, color and detail.
Time: 6-8:30pm

Ceramics: Wheel Throwing
Develop skills on the potter’s wheel while you learn to make a variety of vessels and sculptural forms. This class is great for beginning and intermediate level students. Students will have access to the ceramic lab outside of class for the duration of the course.
Time: Section 1: 4pm-6pm
Section 2: 6:30-8:30pm

Thursdays, April 5- May 10:

Ceramics: Hand Building
Learn skills and technique for creating abstract and/or anatomical ceramic forms. The focus will be on the processes used to create a variety of pieces. This studio class is best suited for beginners and intermediate students although all levels are welcome.

Introduction to Drawing
Learn the principles and techniques of drawing through form, shading, and perspective while exploring new ways of approaching a subject. This class is perfect for the beginning or intermediate drawing student looking to learn new skills.
Time: 6:00-8:00 pm

Chinese Calligraphy
Sundays, March 25- April 29
Learn the basic skills of Chinese calligraphy with a brief history of this beautiful written art form. You will explore five styles of Chinese calligraphy and varied compositions using traditional writing brushes & ink.
Time: 1:30pm-3:30pm

3-Month Independent Study Ceramics Studio Passes
Single $65.00 ($58.50)
Double $100.00 ($90.00 )
Family $150.00 ($135.00)
Independent study includes access to clay studio, firing, and use of glazes. Clay must be purchased (in addition to the pass) from the Hearst Center at $25/25lbs. Open studio time is available when the studio is not being used for scheduled classes.
