Intro to Wheel Throwing
Tuesdays, March 26–April 16
Develop skills on the potter’s wheel while you learn to make a variety of vessels, as well as
sculptural pieces. This class is great for beginning and intermediate level students. Students will
have access to the ceramic lab outside of class for the duration the class is held.
Time: Session 1: 3:00–5:30 p.m.
Session 2: 6:00–8:30 p.m.

Figure Drawing
Tuesdays,April 9–May 14
Back by popular demand! Proportion, composition and value will be covered using experienced life
drawings models. All experience levels welcome.
Time: 6:00–8:30 p.m.

Metal Stamping and Etching
Thursdays, March 28–April 18
Learn skills to create unique, personalized jewelry or accessories through methods of metal stamping and etching. Technique, layout, safety and riveting will be covered. This class is great for beginners!
Time: 6:00–8:00 p.m.

Intro to Drawing
Fridays, March 29–May 10 (no class April 19)
Learn the basics to drawing. Experiment with form, shading, perspective and subject matter. This class is perfect for the beginning or intermediate drawing student looking to learn new skills.
Time: 2:00–4:00 p.m.

Denim on the Loom
Sundays, March 31–April 14
Make your own denim rag rug or create four place mats on an antique loom used by the same family since the early ‘30’s! This exciting process will take place at both the Hearst Center and the artist’s home. The first and last session will be at the Hearst Center to sew fabric & finish the rug or place mats, while the second session (times may vary) will be using the artist’s loom. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own denim!
Time: 1:30–3:30 p.m.

3-Month Independent Study Ceramics Studio Passes
Single $65.00 ($58.50)
Double $100.00 ($90.00 )
Family $150.00 ($135.00)
Independent study includes access to clay studio, firing, and use of glazes. Clay must be purchased (in addition to the pass) from the Hearst Center at $25/25lbs. Open studio time is available when the studio is not being used for scheduled classes.
